Round 9 of the 2023 US Hard Enduro was part of the two-race format known as the Keystone Challenge which has competitors racing Tough Like RORR on Saturday and Sunday followed by the final race of the East Coast swing at the nearby Shotgun Hard Enduro. Bonus points would be awarded to the best overall finishers of the two-race weekend and that would end up being the difference in AMA East Extreme Enduro championship.
